Privacy & Cookie Policy
Pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR)
1. Data controller
The data controller is Longhini & Associati, Corso di Porta Romana 23, 20122 Milano, Italy — tel. +39 02 45 49 12 85. For any matter concerning your personal data, you can contact us at this address.
2. What data we process
When you browse this site, our hosting provider records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of access) in server logs. This data is needed to operate the site securely and is not used to identify visitors.
If you contact us by telephone or e-mail, we process the personal data you choose to share (name, contact details, and the content of your enquiry) solely to respond and, where an engagement follows, to provide legal services.
3. Legal basis and purposes
Technical data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data you provide when contacting us is processed to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract and to perform it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and to comply with legal obligations applicable to the legal profession (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
4. Retention
Server logs are retained for the period set by our hosting provider. Data relating to enquiries and engagements is retained for as long as necessary to handle the matter and thereafter for the periods required by law and by the rules of the Italian Bar.
5. Recipients and transfers
Data is not sold or shared for marketing purposes. It may be accessed by our technical service providers acting as processors (hosting, e-mail), and disclosed where required by law. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer takes place under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).
6. Cookies
This site does not use profiling or advertising cookies. We use only:
- Technical cookies — strictly necessary for the site to function, including the cookie that stores your consent choice. These do not require consent.
- Mapbox — the interactive maps on our contact page are provided by Mapbox Inc. and load resources from Mapbox servers, which may process your IP address. The maps are loaded only after you accept them via the cookie banner. See the Mapbox privacy policy.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, after which the banner will appear again.
7. Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you have the right to access your data and to request its rectification or erasure, the restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in how the site operates. The version published on this page is the one currently in force.
